Shakib Lutaaya reveals that he and his wife, businesswoman and socialite Zari Hassan, protect their peace by avoiding each other’s social media activity. In a recent interview with a YouTuber, Shakib explained that he chooses not to monitor Zari’s online updates because she is a public figure who frequently shares opinions on a wide range of topics. He points out that even when she errs or says something offhand, she’s human, and it’s important to understand that.
Shakib believes that constantly consuming his wife’s posts could easily spark unnecessary misunderstandings. Some remarks might be misinterpreted or taken personally, even if they aren’t directed at him, so he prefers not to “wear the shoe” if it doesn’t fit. To minimize potential friction, he has stopped following her content altogether and goes so far as to delete messages that contain posts or clips he doesn’t want to see.
Blocking, deleting, and not engaging, he says, brings a lot more peace. He notes that this approach is mutual: Zari also avoids tracking his social media activity, including his Snapchat posts, ensuring a calmer, more private dynamic between them.
